The Department of Computer Science and the Department of Statistics at the University of California, Irvine are jointly hiring in the broad area of data science. There are three openings for tenure-track or tenured faculty, two in computer science and one in statistics. The departments seek to build on and broaden their existing strengths in machine learning ( https://cml.ics.uci.edu/) and data science (http://datascience.uci.edu/), and are especially interested in candidates whose work enhances our understanding of spatial or temporal data.
