*Job description* The successful applicant will work on probabilistic methods in machine learning for inference and decision making in complex environments with an emphasis on applications to the automated analysis of financial market data. In this role, she/he will have significant freedom to explore and develop new suitable methods in machine learning and decision making inspired by the challenges arising within finance and it is expected that she/he will collaborate closely with the IDSIA research team and with our industrial partners on the implementation of these methods.
