We seek candidates at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. For our "Computational Statistics" area search, we seek candidates who develop high-impact methodologies to address the statistical and computational challenges of “big data,” including (but not limited to) causal inference, probabilistic modeling, and/or high-dimensional statistics. Ideal candidates will have strong publication records in statistics or statistical machine learning venues, as well as experience in applying novel methods to domain-specific problems (e.g., in physical sciences, life sciences, social sciences, and medicine). The candidate will become a crucial part of Tufts’ rapidly-growing Data Intensive Studies Center (DISC) and would have opportunities to work closely with data-science focused faculty from across Computer Science, Mathematics, Life Sciences and Medicine, and Electrical & Computer Engineering. The CS department has grown in recent years, and current data science / machine learning faculty include Prof. Liping Liu, Prof. Lenore Cowen, Prof. Donna Slonim, Prof. Soha Hassoun, Prof. Mike Hughes, Prof. Jivko Sinapov, and Prof. Matthias Scheutz.
