About DSAA'2020 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The 7th IEEE/ACM/ASA International Conference on Data Science and Advanced Analytics (DSAA) features its strong interdisciplinary synergy between statistics (via ASA), computing and information/intelligence sciences (IEEE and ACM), and cross-domain interactions between academia and business for data science and analytics. DSAA sets up a high standard for its organizing committee, keynote speeches, submissions to main conference and special sessions, and a competitive rate for paper acceptance. DSAA has been widely recognized as a dedicated flagship in data science and analytics such as by the Google Metrics and China Computer Foundation as an influential event in the area. The 7th IEEE International Conference on Data Science and Advanced Analytics (DSAA’2020) will provide a premier forum that brings together researchers, industry and government practitioners, as well as developers and users in statistics, computing science, and intelligence science for the exchange of the latest theoretical developments in Data Science and Analytics and the best practice for a wide range of applications. The conference invites submission of papers describing innovative research on all aspects of data science and advanced analytics as well as application-oriented papers that make significant, original, and reproducible contributions to improving the practice of data science and analytics in real-world scenarios. DSAA’2020 is a dual-track conference consisting of a Research Track and an Research Track. DSAA’2020 will also feature a peer-reviewed Student Poster session and an Industry Poster session, whose purpose is to showcase recent and early-stage research developments on topics that are of interest to students and industry/government practitioners in data science and analytics. About Tutorials -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We solicit proposals for tutorials at the 2020 IEEE International Conference on Data Science and Advanced Analytics (DSAA’2020) on systematic lectures related to the theoretical foundations, algorithms and models, and better/hands-on practice of data science and analytics. A tutorial proposal should be no more than five pages in length (+1 cover sheet), single column, and fonts should be 11pt. The recommended duration of a tutorial is half-day (about 2-3 hours). The tutorial proposal should addrress the following aspects: * A cover sheet with the presenters’ names, affiliations, addresses, emails, and phones (not counted in the 5 pages). * The proposed lecture/tutorial title. * An abstract about the summary of the tutorial. * Specific objectives and main field category (statistics/computer science/other). * A table of contents with enough details to provide a sense of both the scope of material to be covered and the depth to which it will be covered. * A short description of the intended audience and any prerequisite knowledge for attendees. * Each presenter’s name, affiliation, country, email and a short biographical sketch, describing relevant qualifications and lecturing experience; and identify at least one organizer as the contact person. * If (part of) the tutorial material or an earlier version of it has been presented elsewhere, the proposal should indicate those respective events (and dates), and describe how the current proposal differs from the previous editions (if at all). * Audio-visual equipment needs for the presentation. We will consider all proposals for both introductory, advanced topics and hands-on practice. Each accepted tutorial will receive one free registration to DSAA’2020. Presenters will be required to provide comprehensive lecture/tutorial slides and references and a webpage if possible at least one week before the event, which will then be published on the DSAA’2020 website and thus be made available to the conference attendees free of charge. Accepted tutorials will be presented during the main DSAA conference as parallel sessions. Submission -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tutorial proposals and enquiries should be submitted to the DSAA’2020 Tutorial chairs at [email protected]. --- _______________________________________________ Announcements mailing list [email protected] http://ijcai.org/mailman/listinfo/announcements_ijcai.org _______________________________________________ uai mailing list [email protected] https://secure.engr.oregonstate.edu/mailman/listinfo/uai
