My name is Jay Patel and I am the CEO on PPEHelp1 Ltd.
I am contacting you as I found your details whilst look for financing
companies that may be able to assist me in financing to enable me to
import PPE and supply it to establishments such as NHS Trust and care homes
etc to help protect our key workers and the vulnerable.
If you are able to assist then I may well need your services. If not please
accept my apologies and dont read further.
I am currently looking at Supplying The NHS Trusts, care homes, private
hospital and similar establishments Surgical Masks directly from a well
established reputable Factory that produces them for customers all over the
world (including I believe our government via a wholesaler in China).
The basic deal is I will receive an order from the NHS Trust for 200,000 IIR
masks at £0.5915 each. I would be buying them from Asian Sourcing and
Consulting (ASC) who buy at special rates directly from the Factory at
£0.415. ASC would need to be paid 200,000 x £0.415 = £83,000. The air
freight, including delivery to the hospital would cost me (including
insurance and clearing costs and duties) £15 per Kilo x 400KG = £6,000. The
NHS trust would pay within 7 days of receipt of goods so the finance company
would receive their £83,000 plus interest and costs say £3,500 within 21
days. Leaving a profit in the order of £112,330 - £92,500 = £25,800.
The team involved with this deal are myself, namely Mr Jay Patel of PPEhelp1
Limited, Mr Colan Badham from ASC who is based in the Henan province in
China and who are connected directly with the factory and a specialist in
certification and coding for PPE and Mike Austin from PSP the shipping and
freight forwarding company. I am going to list below a executive summary /
brief resume of each party :

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
PPEHELP1 is a registered company in the UK under registration number
12571691. The company was created to supply Personal Protection Equipment in
order to HELP key workers & the vulnerable and be number 1 at it.
My name is Jay Patel and I am the CEO of the company. My Story is that I
have a severely disabled child, Balram, who has 5 life threatening
conditions and a dozen other conditions as well. I have probably spent over
2 years of my life in hospital with him and probably over 200 days in
intensive care. I have first-hand experience of the importance of clean
sterile PPE in this sector. In early April 2020 I repeatedly heard UK
companies saying they have offered to manufacture / supply the equipment
needed but had no requests from the powers that be for them. On the other
hand, key workers and establishments employing key workers say they were
desperate for PPE. I found this deeply upsetting and incomprehensible. So
many of these incredible staff are already putting themselves in harms way
just by what they do without the massive risk of insufficient / inadequate /
inappropriate / unsafe PPE equipment. I was further shocked in mid-April
2020 to hear a recommendation from our Government that some PPE should be
reused because I believe it was running out for those fortunate enough to
have it. I shed a few tears when I first heard this and then decided that I
needed to do something to help. I have managed many companies across various
spectrums and decided to create and form PPEHELP1 Limited and I have, with
my team dedicated and committed ourselves to seeing what we can do and help.
In the space of just over a week I have formed the company PPEHELP1 Limited
and created the web site <http://www.PPEHELP1.com> www.PPEHELP1.com and a
facebook, twitter and Instagram page all of which can be visited with the
key words PPEHELP1. We have accelerated our marketing and resourcing
endeavours and contacted over 30,000 potential suppliers of PPE and over
60,000 individuals in companies sourcing PPE for key workers and the
vulnerable and the others. We have also sourced in the UK and globally
shipping agents, manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers etc.
We have been very fortunate in making contact with a large number of CEOs,
directors, key decision makers and professionals in companies and
organisations and establishing where a number of shortages lie and
understanding why there have been a number of difficulties and also possible
solutions. We have also come across several needs that require fulfilling
and stumbled across several business opportunities which could benefit all
parties especially the key workers and the vulnerable. We have established
that there is a huge shortage of reasonably priced PPE including CE coded
certified disposable surgical masks, gloves, and decently priced hand
sanitizers etc. We have found a way of partially fulfilling this need and a
business opportunity at the same time.
Colan Badham CEO of Asian Sourcing and Consulting (ASC) Ltd
In brief the MD of ASC is Colan Badham and he is my contact within the
company and has been in China for 18 months or so. They are the supplier of
the masks. Colan is very professional, well experienced and qualified in
areas relating to the certification of PPE and very well connected both
professionally and personally with the manufactures. This is what Colan has
to say about himself and his company :
So my business is a UK limited company involved in providing engineered low
cost solutions to UK / US companies. It was formed 20th September 2018 after
I'd taken 6 months off from leaving my former company where I was the
Chinese Managing Director.
Last August I travelled out to Henan province (same area where Daily Mail
sourced their plane cargo) in China. I came here to start a large product
transfer of air filtration units where I was to design, make and install a
high volume filtration production line, I was then to oversee production of
the first +4000 units. I'd sourced a great filtration specialist, one which
I'm still working with today so our relationship is very strong and this is
fundamental in doing business in China. The original project schedule meant
I would be home in time for Christmas!! However, one thing led to another
and like all good projects, client delays impacted the project so I ended
staying through to the Chinese New Year, the virus then struck, locked me
down for 7 weeks (a very proper lockdown too) and I'm still here today.
I actually couldn't be in a better place on earth right now to help source
GENUINE and fully certified medical PPE. Since my time here in August I've
made many good friends, one as mentioned being my supplier, who's daughter
just so happens to be married to owners son of largest medical company here,
(the one with 2 million TYPE IIR masks on stock). Another great relationship
I have is with my crazy translator, he actually shares my apartment, we met
when my supplier brought him in, he was the export manager for above medical
company so could speak English. Well as it happens, all the these medical
companies seem to know each very well, and my translator is best friends
with owner son who runs the 2nd largest medical company here. So through my
supplier, who now calls me his brother, I have direct connections in to the
2 largest suppliers around. Both are fully TUV SUD certified and verified, I
also have connections at TUV Shanghai so they do check out. Importantly they
are both on the Chinese government 'Approved to export medical supplies'
list. This again verifies they are genuine. Something you should note here,
there's many certified companies in China right now that CANNOT export, yet
that is all they ever do. The problem is to make the Gov list you have to
have both Export and DOMESTIC license, my supplier have both these. So
please do check your supply chain for not just certificates, but also that
you can get the product out of China. If not on the list you will buy
something you cannot receive. You will receive everything I source because
it will be genuine, they will have certificates and they will be on the Gov
list.
Another advantage to my being on the ground, I can access, audit and verify
the goods prior to despatch. I can also keep track on real production
schedules, suppliers not only know this but actually they wouldn't do it to
me simply as we're connected. These are great advantages to my being here
and I wish to leverage that position in ensuring only qualified goods are
used by our front lie workers.
