DINS is home to one of the top-ranked programs in Information Science and
Telecommunications in the United States. Our Graduate program was one of
the first programs of its kind and has a rich history of training
information and network professionals for careers in research, teaching and
industry.

Students admitted to our PhD programs are eligible for receiving multiple
years of scholarship or funding in the form of research and teaching
assistantships. This includes a full tuition waiver, medical coverage and a
competitive yearly stipend.

The PhD in Information Science program at the University of Pittsburgh
