Hi Irakli,

We've got something super-experimental on OS X called "Desktop
Quicklaunch" that basically allows Ubiquity to be used anywhere--the
command window just shows up at the upper-left hand corner of the screen
instead of the browser. The thing is, though, it's still in the Firefox
process--which I think is actually a good thing, because that means that
it still knows everything about you that your browser does, which allows
it to serve you better. Putting Ubiquity in its own XULRunner app is
nice in some ways, but it concerns me because it's then "siloed" away
from all your other information, and XULRunner apps don't currently have
any really good mechanisms for IPC, as far as I know.
