Dear all,
I have created a noun type that suggest unread replies to messages in
a forum. It parse the HTML page where unread replies are shown and
suggest unread replies.

Now, I would make the same thing for unread topics in forum, i.e, SMF
based forum have two pages how to read unreadreplies and unread
topics:
http://forum.mozillaitalia.org/index.php?action=unread
http://forum.mozillaitalia.org/index.php?action=unreadreplies

They are very similar, the only parameter that change is the url .

Now, I could rewrite the whole noun_type only changing the url
passed, but, if possible, I think that is better to create a template
for the noun and generating the two noun_types passing the url to
template.

I have tried to create a class for the noun_type, but I have a
problem, inside jQuery Ajax call I can't refere the method of the
class because this is internal to jquery.

I need to use XMLHttpRequest instead of jQuery to make the async call
or there exist another possibility ?

In other words, sorry for me bad english, I hope you understand my
question, I have created this noun type:
var noun_smf_mi_unreadreplies={
...
        getData:
                jQuery ("http://  unread" ....
                ....
}

and I want to make the same noun_type changing the URL to query to get
info (unreadreplies instea of unread), if possible without cloning the
code.

Sandro
