Satyr, this is probably mostly a question for you, since you've recently refactored the skin syntax (I think?)
Basically, when any major changes are made to skins, it totally borks people's existing skins. I have no idea how Ubiq handles storing/ updating skins, but there should be some way to handle this. Ubiq might also want to reset the skin choice when a major skinning change is made, to allow skin authors to update their skins.
