Interestingly, this does not occur during OEM setup, despite the language again being set to German.

The installer slideshow shows a window that is larger than the slides in it, leaving an empty white bar along the right side of the slide. This is the case on every slide (i.e. does not seem to be a rendering artifact). The occurs when the installer is in German. I haven't tested other non-English languages.
