If they are considered the same bug, then perhaps bug 794248 should be the duplicate, since (1) there is an aspect of this bug that does not affect the Lubuntu slideshow, and (2) ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu will be a much more widely used package than ubiquity-slideshow-lubuntu. Please feel free to remove this bracketed text after triaging.] While installing Oneiric i386 from the 20110617 daily-live, I saw that the first slide says "Welcome to Ubuntu 11.04" instead of "Welcome to Ubuntu 11.10" on the first slide (screenshot attached): Welcome to Ubuntu 11.04 Ubuntu is packed with features to make your computer delightful to use.
