This sort of thing can be confusing, I download and installed a 12.04 daily build to start testing and then glanced at the install screen as it was proceeding and saw the "11.10" string - I first thought that I had selected the wrong ISO to install and was about to abort the whole process before deciding to let it run and see what version actually booted up.
While this sort of thing may seem trivial to those who are deeply involved in the project of creating a new release, for others who come in as testers - especially those new to the process - it may well end up causing frustration and therefore discourage them from continuing in the bug discovery and reporting process that improves the quality of the eventual release. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubiquity Slideshow, which is subscribed to ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/899503 Title: first slide on 12.04 thinks it's 11.10 Status in “ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: it's a very minor bug, but it's a bug nonetheless. in lubuntu. iso- testing in a vm on an oneiric i386 host using 3.0.0-14 kernel for what it matters.
