Had a chat with Stephane Graber about it on IRC: <stgraber> dpm: a broken html file was preventing the generation of updated pot templates... dpm: I'll do a manual import of the new .pot in launchpad for now and will do a full translation update before release. <stgraber> dpm: done dpm: LP correctly reports the "Welcome to Ubuntu 12.10" string as needs translation now
And I can now confirm that the string is translatable: https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/quantal/+source/ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu/+pots/ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu/lv/+translate?batch=10&show=all&search=welcome ** Changed in: ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Fix Committed ** Changed in: ubuntu-translations Status: Triaged => Fix Committed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubiquity Slideshow, which is subscribed to ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1043222 Title: "Welcome to Ubuntu 12.10" is not localised Status in Ubuntu Translations: Fix Committed Status in “ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu” package in Ubuntu: Fix Committed Bug description: The first slideshow screen has a title (in ubuntu on the dark background) saying "Welcome to Ubuntu 12.10". This string is not localised, when running ubiquity in Latvian. I have checked the translations, and apparently all of them are translated. https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/quantal/+source/ubiquity- slideshow-ubuntu/+pots/ubiquity-slideshow- ubuntu/lv/+translate?start=0&batch=10&show=untranslated&field.alternative_language=&field .alternative_language-empty-marker=1&old_show=all The titles on all the subsequent slides are translated into Latvian.
