Thanks for your bug report. May you please provide some more detail about when this occurs? And is that a kernel panic? I'm interested in whether the slideshow appears, and for how long. Does interacting with it change the behaviour? And have you tried installing the vanilla Ubuntu image? I'm going to hazard a guess that this is an issue with Webkit, but I'll attach the Ubiquity project as well. The slideshow is very much just a content package, so unless there's a workaround it can't do much to solve this :)
Do you think you could take a look at this wiki page to attach some more details about the crash? https://help.ubuntu.com/community/DebuggingSystemCrash There's a separate page about debugging Ubiquity, too: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingUbiquity ** Also affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: webkitgtk-3.0 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubiquity Slideshow, which is subscribed to ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1436850 Title: Everytime I try to install Ubuntu GNOME VV Beta 2, the Oracle VB crashes during the installation (slide show) Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu: New Status in ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu package in Ubuntu: New Status in webkitgtk-3.0 package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Installing Ubuntu GNOME Desktop amd64 VV Beta 2 20150326 and during the installation (when the slide shows appear), the machine (Oracle VB) crashes and it happened so far more than 5 times.
