I meant to ask this a while ago on this thread. Has anyone swapped out just the M5 rocket radio for the new AC and not the dish? I assume it will work ideally with the dish. I was hoping to get a little more thruput on some existing links by going to a new radio.

I also know they are not backwords compatible yet, so won’t associate to a standard rocket m5 for example. We had lots of bad luck with the rocket m5 titaniums when they first came out so extremely leery on any brand new ubnt products for backhauls. But, we really need a larger dish backhaul with gigabit port that can actually achieve speeds over 100 Mb closer to 200Mb really. So any real world examples of using the newer rocket m5 ac lite would be greatly appreciated I have a few on hold at streakwave but wanted to do some research before I pulled the trigger. its not the cost that bothers me, its if they are actually better or not. It is a fairly long link 11miles but LOS and currently has a –55 dBm signal on 30Mhz and can get a steady 70 out of it. Thanks for any input or experiences you feel free to share.
