The problem in 2.4GHz is the limited bandwidth and no chipset.   That means 
downconverting just to start with and there is no equipment down there that 
would work, thus basically proprietary to a manufacturer.  Consider how much 
the Ubiquiti 900 and the 3.65 cost and then decide if it would be worth it.  
Then in rural areas you 2.4GHz in NLOS areas which means 256QAM isn’t your best 
option.  I would be surprised if any goes after that.
