How much bandwidth does he want? Even though Ubiquiti can do it, I would
consider a used connectorized PTP600 as my first choice if the budget allows
it. If not, look at the Rocket 5M’s.

Wally, that’s a very impressive signal at the distance. I really liked the
Powerbridges and found there wasn’t much difference between them and a Rocket
with RD-30. Sadly, I’m going to have a back room full of them soon.

Have a 55 km link. RD 30 to an M5 Power bridge. -68 dB and passing 40 Meg.

28 miles los no problem. 3 footers would be easy.

Run it through Moto LinkPlanner. Export it to Earth and replicate the tree
cover.

Hi guys,

We have a customer asking for us to quote on a 45km link with “good line of
sight.”

Has anyone ever put in a Ubiquiti link at this distance and if so, what speeds
were you able to achieve?

I wonder if curvature of the Earth would have an impact on a link this far, and
if so, how high up we’d need to be.

Thanks,

Adam
