I also believe that airPrism doesn't do anything about co-channel either, only
adjacent channel.

I don't think cavity filters prevent co-channel interference. Adjac e nt
channel interference, yes . Co-channel interference is interference on the
channel you are trying to use.

Some body tell me if I'm off my rocker.

AirPrism was/is supposed to return to us the benefits, (adjacent channel
rejection, improved sensitivity), of the original dual superheterodyne Hermes I
and Intersil Prism II chipsets as opposed to the current direct conversion
Atheros chipsets.

I don't see a major use for it in clients, but for an AP, it could be worth
quite a bit to me.

I'm currently using cavity filters on my multi-AP towers to prevent co-channel
interference in 2.4GHz. This, of course, destroys my frequency agility.

Just for the fun of it, I went over and played with some old Intersil cards I
still have around.

I can run 3 AP's on 1,6 and 11 using those old cards and get full speed thru
them all in the same room... That just doesn't work with the newer cards...

I really hope this works the way we need it to...

To Ben:

I'd be interested in testing the 2.4GHz gear in a fairly tough environment here
if you have need...

Multi-lane-Rf != airprism?

I'm pretty sure I was told by people at Ubiquiti that it was the same thing,
just kind of an "Earlier Version" type thing. Is that not correct?

No, that wasn't the hardware.

Didn't they already do this? I though the UAP Outdoor plus was the beta

Are the 2.4Ghz AC going to be down converted 5.8Ghz radios, or is someone
developing a custom chip?
