I have powered a nanobeam AC but not a Powerbeam AC, from it. We are still
using PowerbeamM5 and it does fine with them.

Have you had any problems with the AGWI powering the AC radios? Saw a few
reports of those in the UBNT forum and cancelled our backorders until we saw
some resolution.

We use the Airgateway installer with a Cell phone battery pack charger and it
works great. I have the AG setup as a bridge and once the radio is in Router
mode our phone or tablet draw a address from the radio and we can survey the
site.

Subject: [Ubnt_users] Site Survey Tool

Hello All,

We're looking to create a second site survey tool for installers to check
signal at potential customers' homes. Currently we have a drill battery wired
to a passive POE attached to a PVC pipe with a strap for a handle. The POE
powers an AirGateway and Powerbeam, also attached to PVC.

This setup works pretty well, but in short it can be flaky sometimes, we have
no way of monitoring battery life, and we feel there may be some better
solutions out there. Does anyone have a recommendation for an inexpensive,
reliable, sturdy survey tool setup? We will use AirGateway and Powerbeam
regardless, so we're mostly looking for suggestions on the Power section.

Thanks,

Shawn
