That's why we have a certification process each firmware has to go through. 

We also wait several dot releases before doing a deployment. 

We just upgraded from 1.7 to 1.9.1 on EdgeRouters and are going from 5.6.5 to 
6.0 on M gear. 

Still have some AC gear running 7.1.1. 

Things are much happier this way.
