Was having problems with Apple Airport Extreme Basestations stumbling on reauthentication via Radius/PPPoE for long periods on our network. Putting the Apple$ in bridge mode and sticking an AirGateway in front of them (with the WLAN disabled) seems to mitigate the problem, but a new one emerged. The Apple$ won't support a Guest SSID network unless they're talking through another Apple. Turns out the Guest network is isolated on VLAN 1003--there is a good description here:

Is that doable or do I have to go to a different router? (Posted this on ubnt ubnt/AirMax forum too.apologies for duplicates.)
