Hey Alex,

We have a 10 Mile link that (barely) does 10x.
I had to hard set the power much lower than our license before the link
would do anything over 6x. I've since then locked it to 9x simply for
stability. Auto power back off doesn't work the way it should try turning it
off.

Both sides are AF11x-35 dishes. TX power: 22dBm conducted, RX strength:
-46dBm on both sides. Lost 2 points link budget and might need some fine
tuning after that crazy windstorm though.

We get slight issues with thermocline on foggy days over the river but
other than that it's work great. Currently planning at least 5 more links.
Which will cost less than 2 links with cambium gear.

Hope that helps

Can those who use AF11 and are able to establish a link a 10x reliably
please share your link information?

Distance, Dish and power settings.

I really need my AF11's to do 10x.

We have we have 8 AF11X link ranging between 6-7 miles and 18 miles and they
are all at 10x.
All most on Jirous antennas 2, 3 and 4'. A couple are on the UBNT 11g
antennas.

What is your conducted power set to?

Match your license. Don't randomly increase power, 11GHz travels a long way
and you can easily interfere with another licensee.

They key for us was turning off all of their automated features: enhanced
mimo, short cp, and automated power backoff. Automatic rate adaption is on,
ERIP turned down to 51 from 53, which is what our link was approved for.
Receive target power off as well. And now we?re getting this. Chain
imbalance was the only thing we could not get a hold of. Spent more than an
hour aligning the link with a crew in both towers at the same time. My gut
tells me it is another 11ghz link that we are in line with.

When we were testing we saw everything from 400 megs to 630, settled in the
680?s once we turned the power down a bit.

I have it set like the lic says but it wont hit 10x. Ubnt support
suggested reducing power and that did not help.

This has nothing to do with his question. Increasing power would only lower
his modulation anyway, not increase it like he's trying to do.

That's how we've had it set, and we're still only seeing 8x.
