Hi, Gnopernicus in Ubuntu 6.05 worked fairly well for me, sometimes dropping out, but logging out and back in started it again. After upgrading to Ubuntu 6.10, the speech is "unavailable". I have two friends who are blind that are interested in using this format, but I can't seem to beat the system. I'm a newbie to Linux, so be gentle!! I am fairly familiar with JAWS in Windoze.
