Hi, I have a older dell desktop I want to install the latest version of ubuntu on. For some reason the dapper live CD will load, but any live CD after that doesn't. It starts to boot and stops in a few seconds. The words ubuntu are on the screen. My question is is this a live CD issue, or a case where linux will not work on this computer. If anyone has had this problem, did you try the alternative CD. If so did this work. Mike.
