The DVD contains both the altnerate, and desktop install methods, and you can choose which one to boot when the CD boots. As I have not looked at the DVD myself, I am unsure as to how to go about starting it. If you can wait for a few days, I will obtain the DVD, and have a look myself when I get home from my rip.
