Dear List! Mike, if your usb stick is /dev/sdb1, the simplest way in terminal: Make sure your usb stick is not mounted. If you do not want erase the partition, enter following command: mkfs.ext3 /dev/sdb1 This command create an ext3 filesystem on your usb stick.
