Dear List! I installed Ubuntu Jaunty Alpha5 Netbook Remix version with my Asus Eeepc 701 netbook. The system is very fantastic. Jaunty starts my netbook 25-30 second (I using Ext4 filesystem). All hardvers works fine. I found one problem, and I don't known how can I solve. When I try going to the desktop with Ctrl+Alt+d combination, not happen nothing. I removed netbook-launcher applet, because it is inaccessible with Orca, and remove netbook-remix and maximus packages. I installed ubuntu-desktop package. Interesting, but my wife says me the desktop is not displayed (short test I put some icons with the desktop).
Short question: I install normal Ubuntu Jaunty Alpha5 version my netbook? Normal version producing this positive results (starting 25-30 second and all hardware works fine)? I known, this netbook remix version is now yet a test release, but thanks this good work with developers, this is the first Ubuntu release with start fast my netbook (600 MHZ Cpu, 512 Mb memory and 4 GB SSD).
