Hi, I tried logging in into 9.04 as root today and found I could save Orca settings as root. But it is still not possible to save Orca settings in my account for some reason. I also found as root using the spd-conf program I was able to get speech-dispatcher to work in that account. But I could only do this by creating a user setup. For some reason the system setup didn't work at all. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Has anyone been successful at getting speech-dispatcher to work in 9.04. If so, what do I have to change in the config. After setting the user while in the root account or in my account, it doesn't show up in the Orca settings in my account, only in root. Mike.
