Hi,

Well if you go into a terminal and type

sudo apt-get install gnome-alsamixer

this adds a volume control dialogue to the Sound and video menu.

This looks like it might let you adjust the volume of each audio device (I can't verify this because I only have one) that is installed. It also has mute buttons.

Give that a try.

This may be a dumb question, but how do you change the volume of a sound device using the keyboard or terminal or something?

I can't get sound to come out of one of my sound devices -- Maybe it's the volume setting (which I can't find).

Thanks.
