Hi Mike,
Have a look at GDM configuration file provided in this post. http://playingwithsid.blogspot.com/2009/07/gdm-timed-login.html Also root accounts need to have id = 0 and in /etc/sudoers file you add a line like this. Replace accnt with the account name. accnt ALL=(ALL) ALL Cheers --arky Rakesh 'arky' Ambati| IT Consultant| http://www.braillewithoutborders.org | Blog: http://playingwithsid.blogspot.com --- On Sat, 8/8/09, mike <[email protected]> wrote: > From: mike <[email protected]> > Subject: enabling the root account in karmic, does anyone know how? > To: "ubuntu" <[email protected]> > Date: Saturday, 8 August, 2009, 9:47 AM > Hi I tried to create a custom.conf > file for gdm, but that didn't work.
