Hi, I tried the lynx live CD today and found it to work with Orca now. Here is
what I found. I have to have my monitor on for some reason to get to the login
screen. But this was the same in karmic when it first started out.
Once I got it installed, Orca was very slow. But removing pulseaudio took
care of that. The sound settings still say waiting for sound server, and
speakup wouldn't compile as it did in karmic using m-a a-I speakup-source. But
I'm sure this will work later in the cycle.
As for the system. I ran it two hours and had no speech loss at all. I must
say, this release is looking pretty good from what I see at this time. I
installed the old gnome-app-install and couldn't get it to work. But this could
also be because it is early in the cycle.
Removing this package will get the movie player to work correctly.
gstreamer0.10-pulseaudio.
   Mike.
