I know this is probably off topic but I and my colleagues are very confused. I am using ubuntu 11.10 fully updated. I have a program that installs to a subdirectory of /opt. It comes up in a "ls -l" with -rwxr-xr-x permissions. When I try to run it either as myself or as sudo I get a "file or directory does not exist" error. As I say al list and even the file command say it is there and executable. Any ideas?
