I'm not sure what you mean with XPlike unless you mean "something else than Unity"? 11.04 is quite old and I would suggest using another flavor of Ubuntu like Kubuntu, Xubuntu or Lubuntu. I'm not sure on how accessible their ISOs are so perhaps you're best bet is to install plain Ubuntu 12.04 or 13.10 and then replace Unity with another Desktop Environment. Or just install Vinux (http://vinuxproject.org/) right away which is based on Ubuntu 12.04. /Jimmy
