I've spent a bit of time yesterday doing a bit of research. My daughter is getting her husband an iPod for Christmas, so tomorrow, I'm going to have to tell him how to operate it with Ubuntu. My first stop was the Rhythmbox page on Sourceforge. http://rhythmbox.sourceforge.net/ take a look: it gives hardly any useful information. Eventually after a LOT of searching, I found http://rhythmbox.sourceforge.net/ that told me what I wanted to know.
This is the kind of thing we CAN do something about. There has to be a really easy way for a new user to find out how his or her needs can or can not be met! I know my way around the Ubuntu helps and formums, and it still took me a lot of getting there. Also, we need to be looking at sites like Rhythmbox and gently persuading them to put more information up there. I'm always happy to write stuff for folk like that if I have used their product!
