Title:
[dialer] No voicemail number defined ==> No feedback when attempting
to dial
Status in Ubuntu UX bugs:
Triaged
Status in dialer-app package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
I have some SIM cards with no voicemail number predefined (although
the voicemail service actually works with the subscription).
Testing with a SIM card that has a pre-defined voicemail number (Saunalahti,
Finland):
- Open dialer
- Long press number 1 (with the "tape reels" icon)
Actual result: Voicemail is dialled correctly
Testing with a SIM card that does *not* have a pre-defined voicemail number
(Sonera, Finland):
- Open dialer
- Long press number 1 (with the "tape reels" icon)
Actual result: Nothing happens
Expected result:
- Either something like "No voicemail number defined, enter now?
<ok/cancel>" and a corresponding settings page,
- or maybe show the voicemail icon only conditionally, if property
org.ofono.MessageWaiting.VoicemailMailboxNumber is not empty
Tested on mako HW, image 118.
