  crop mishandles image dimensions

Bug description:
  Crop seems to be mishandling image dimensions:

  If the picture is in landscape mode, the crop lines go outside of the picture 
area.
  If the picture is in portrait mode, the crop lines seem to be confined to the 
top half of the picture only.
