So now that the upgrader is working I gave it a try it update 3 apps. None of the 3 apps that were updated worked until post reboot. Is there any way we can look into what is happening there? I'm happy to play about on my n7 tablet if you let me know what and where to look.
I'm assuming that the issue is between the .desktop file and the actual app somehow but I can't see an obvious reason as to why. On reboot everything worked as expected. -- You make it, I'll break it! I love my job :) http://www.ubuntu.com http://www.canonical.com
