Excellent! I think Henrik joined the mailing list, so we may hear from
him directly. Otherwise I'm CC'ing him on this and I'll let him get in
touch with you if he still needs a hand.

Right, I've now joined! After first having joined the wrong one: http://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/artwork-team/

Jeff, can we remove that one to eliminate this kind of confusion?

So I do have the basic site working here: http://69.60.114.112/
but as noted it has a few wrinkles in the submission workflow that need ironing out. So, yes, I'd be very happy to speak with anyone with some PHP/MySQL expertise :)

NOTE: it's still experimental, so any thing you post might get wiped :) I expect we'll have it open for general use on Monday. (but please feel fee to play around with it).

The code has only ever been used by art.gnome.org AFAIK, and is therefore a bit fickle. It' doesn't 'install' itself in any way. You have to have the server set up in a certain way, etc. There is no documentation on how to use it or set it up and next to no comments in the code. I'm not a PHP expert, but it seems that there is some code that could do with being generalised to make it easier to theme it. It also doesn't do automatic uploads ATM, so people who submit have to submit a link and then the admins have to upload manually when accepting the piece. The gnome team is working on this now though.

The good news is that the maintainers are friendly and helpful and seem willing to accept our changes into their tree to make it more general so we can all continue to use the same version. That will be useful for us as they make more enhancements.
