Sure, but if you leave it where it is now, only the Art Team will see it. People who actually choose which wallpapers will actually be included (and which one is the defautl one) sometimes check art.ubuntu.com to see what's new. So I still your wallpaper would best be placed there :) Anyway, I'll talk to the Desktop Team about this.
