https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ArtworkTeam/DapperThemes The wiki page currently contains a couple of great themes for inclusion in either the internal or external package. However, out of the 7 proposed internal themes, 4 are Smooth Engine skins. That's, in my opinion, much more than is necessary. I think that we should have maybe 2 of them in the internal package and replace the other ones with more graphically interesting skins such as Ubuntulooks Quicksilver or Gray. So my question is: if you agree with that, should we move some of those graphically heavy themes to the internal list so that they can later be voted on, or can we later vote for a theme's inclusion in the internal package anyway, even if it's listed at "external themes" on that wiki page? See the thread [ubuntu-art] Deadline for community art: May 15 by Mark Shuttleworth
Only 5 of the 13 will be included and they will be decided by a vote. The gnome clearlooks is already in by default.
I thought we needed more and have heard it many times in the community, and I also thought we needed separate votes for internal and external which is obvious, but those decisions seems to be out of the ArtTeam's hands. I would have liked a thinice or mist theme in 'internal' but no one commented on that either.....

Where are we at with the vote, or setting up of the voting page? The poll/voting should be afforded a little time, to give everyone a change to cast a vote. Time also needs to be added for packaging to give to Daniel.
I suggest
- poll/voting end on Saturday (earliest) or Sunday (latest) for packaging.
- end of submissions and poll/voting now
I'd like to see more choices but time is short!

Please can I ask everyone who wants to participate in the vote to join that (go to page, click on "Join the team" on the actions menu, top left of the page).
We will setup the poll on Friday, and let voting run till the end of Monday 15th USA time so it covers both a weekend and a week day. Then we can package.
