Hello Andreas,
While the about-me icon is providing information about the user, a
picture of a white figure is no more describing yourself than a logo.
The current default about-me icon looks very bland in the lock dialog,
and is also quite stretched out (as you can see in the attached screen
shot.
Perhaps a better idea would be to display a stock image in the Lock
screen if an about-me image is unavailable. This stock image could be
either a lock, the ubuntu logo, or something else fitting. But
currently, the stretched out white figure does not seem to fit.
