I'll be there. And for good measure...

Hello all.
Please note the following is the agenda for the meeting, Saturday
June 17, 16:00 UTC, in #ubuntu-meeting. I will be chairing the
meeting to make sure we cover the necessary topics.
1. Leadership: We want to define a reasonable leadership group for
the team. As suggested by Mark, which seemed rather agreeable we
are going to try and come up with 3 art team leaders and 1 artist-
in-chief.
- Art team leaders will strive to help solve any problems that
cannot be handled between contributors.
- The artist-in-chief will have the final say on disputed issues
and otherwise guide the team, leading by example, providing help
with the technologies we use (ie. launchpad, AUC, ...) and more.
The technologies we use (provided people understand the following
we can probably skim through this rather quickly):
2. The wiki needs to stay, however:
- requires simplification; there are too many pages with little
content and otherwise it is very confusing to navigate.
- one this is done we want to create some pages which feature some
simple guidelines to how we want to operate along with other
information about styling and guidelines for the creation of
various types of artwork.
- of those established pages we want to ask for people not to make
large changes without consulting the team as a whole, as it gets
quite confusing... :-)
3. Launchpad is great for package and bug management and general
organisation for the team. We should make use of it.
4. The Mailing List is our primary method of communnication.
5. IRC. #ubuntu-artwork is for helping each other out,
collaboration between people working on similar/the same thing
while #ubuntu-meeting will be for our meetings. Please do not make
important choices that affect the team in IRC unless of course it's
part of a meeting. :)
And finally: our goals.
Our primary goal is, although extremely simple and quite obvious,
something we have not managed to do: get our artwork, created
collaboratively into mainstream!
We can achieve this if we examine the existing artwork and their
styles, locate areas that are lacking in consistent artwork, or
artwork in general, prioritise and then collaboratively work to
create some rocking artwork for Edgy and beyond!
We hope you see you at the meeting.
Kind regards,
Pascal Klein
