Who, I also like #14 and the top GDM screen.  I wonder how it would
look in a bit more of a tan color instead of the off yellow color it
is now?  Seems that yellow, and orange that we have for icons will
clash quite a bit.  One thing I thought about on the GDM, is that if
  you create a bit of shadow under the top horizontal line, and a bit
less than that over the bottom horizontal line, it would further the
illusion of being sunken(if that was what was intended).

Like you said, it mimics the simplicity and powerful statement of the
current design.  It's just ubuntu!

Excellent work Who! My preferences are simple: The first splash and the first gdm theme :-)

Splash 14 has been very popular, but my primary objection to it is that it is not as powerful matte/glass combination as fx 01 or 02 is. I still like 14, I just like 01 better :-) If people are so keen on 14, then why not 15 instead? The lighting is a bit more "alive" in that one...
