It is a bit controversial since it is designed for display *without loading icons*. During my design it suddenly occured to me that the current icons loading on the splash always had seemed a bit cheesy and 90th style Mac. Hence the decision.
I thought that we might be able to use the plate in the gdm theme too. Just move the logo+text and inch above the box, put the login entry inside the box and smack a proper wallpaper (maybe the desktop one) behind the lot.

[1]: For people wanting to modify it I suggest using the paths that I have defined in the xcf. They greatly simplify selections.
