-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello all...
As sort of a celebration of hitting 250 interested Ubuntu artwork members, and the upcoming planning for Ubuntu Feisty +1, I thought it might be nice to attempt and get an entirely community driven system wide theme generated by the team. Now I realize that this is a huge endeavor, but I would hope that with 250 members that we could possibly get _something_ out the door. As of now, my current thinking is only the following: 1) Generate a clear 'concept'. 2) Set a few modest design targets -- wallpaper, choose icon set, etc. 3) Utilize the _lovely_ new Launchpad to track our work. As for direction, organization, etc., we would need to discuss how everyone on board wants to steer the ship. My only suggestion is that we do not burden the mainstream list with discussion (other than how to get it ignited), so to this end, anyone with the ability / interest / agency to set up a mailing list might want to present themselves. I was absolutely stunned at what our rather limited team's ability during Edgy, so I would love to see what the team could generate with over ten times the people interested. If this doesn't turn out to be some utter complete horrible disaster, perhaps we have a slight chance of getting the community driven package into the Ubuntu repositories for Feisty +1. Who knows... If you would like to privately email me, and not the list, feel entirely free. My email is ( troy period sobotka period at_symbol gmail period com ). Thank you all for taking the time to read this. Sincerely, TJS PS: Sorry for bombing the list with this request. It is just something that I would dearly like to see happen for Feisty +1.
