Don't forget that color is not only
a matter of aesthetics but it is a usability issue as well. There are
plenty of info on the net about the effects of color on human
psychology. Research the subject to see what I mean.

I can't stress this enough, this is, by all empirical research, an urban
myth.

Your completely wrong. Why do you think hospitals are painted in white?
Because it's destressing. Why do you think products for little kids are full
of colour? Because kids are full of energy. Why do you think that blood,
stop signs, break lights and warnings are red? Because it warns you.

And so on...
