I think you did check the other tab "styles" on other Ubuntu themes. The one you have used in that theme is based on Murrine (i think). One theme that I really like and use often is Glossy (modified) and this just because I like the tabs. It's by default in Ubuntu install, so if you did not deleted it, you should have it. ;)
