First test: fail. :-( I set it up for my wife and asked her to resize a window while I watched. She went right for the side and couldn't grab it in a few seconds and several tries because she was waiting for the cursor to change to the resize handle and the "hit" area was so small she kept overshooting. She resorted to resizing by moving the window around and then using the upper corner. So in a sense she did succeed but we effectively made resizing windows more difficult. Of note is the fact that she was using a laptop with a trackpad. I think it's a bit harder to be precise with this pointing device. I'll do a little more testing, maybe on Sunday I'll have a chance. Even if every tester fails I'm not 100% sure that means we should go to wider borders. If I remember correctly, some operating systems force users to use the bottom right corner to resize and users adapt just fine, though maybe not in the first 8 seconds. -- Matthew Nuzum newz2000 on freenode -- ubuntu-art mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-art
