Adding new stuff is OK. However, the new pages still need to be cleaned from duplicated attachments. I saw 2 options for splitting the page into 3: * Create new pages and cut-paste the relevant markup to them * Copy the whole page. The copy function of the wiki duplicates the attachments alongside the page. With the first approach, I would have had to go through the attachments on the main page to move them the to the subpages one by one. It would be complicated to automate this. So I chose the other way and created lists of all attachments and the attachments of each category by copying the markup and extracting just the filenames (grep + search-and-replace). Now I have a collection of links that trigger the delete operation of the attachment pages. But the wiki surge protection keeps me from using them, I'm practically locked out. Each time you try to do too many operations in short time, this happens. So I'm asking for volunteers with wiki account, willing to take a block of links to open them, one by one, not too fast, trying again later if the wiki acts up. Please reply, I will then send out a block of links to each volunteer. Will be a piece of cake with enough people ;) Oh, we should not do this again in the next cycle! -- Thorsten Wilms thorwil's design for free software: http://thorwil.wordpress.com/ -- ubuntu-art mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-art
