This is a great opportunity that doesn't come around often! Usplash is
tightly coupled with the boot process and shows an approximate
percentage complete.

Will this be the case in the new boot experience?

Is the desire to use a particular technology for the animation (e.g.
gif, flash, other)?

I downloaded the fedora live CD to view their effort and found the boot
animation did not display on my nVidia desktop but did display on my
Intel laptop. :/
